Chlorine dioxide is used within a wide variety of food processing applications and potable drinking water applications throughout the world. Within poultry processing applications, chlorine dioxide is approved and used up to a 3ppm chlorine dioxide residual in contact with the bird.
In addition to this chlorine dioxide is approved and used up to a 0.8 ppm residual in drinking water.
OUR COMMITMENT

We aim to dose between 4 to 7 ppm into make-up waters to ensure that a target of 2-5 ppm residual exposure on the carcasses is attained.

The chlorine dioxide produced by ourselves has EN1276 Certification, as well as conforming to the specifications laid out in the standard for chemicals used with in treatment of drinking water, SANS 52671:2007

Based on the above, we can confirm that our ClO2 product, OXINE WT RTU does not pose any food safety risk
